I am an archaeologist focusing on the application of bioarchaeological methods, i.e. strontium and light stable isotope analysis, to study human and faunal mobility, dietary and economic patterns, and social structure in prehistoric Europe.
I am particularly interested in:
I have carried out projects in many parts of Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, and Turkey, on archaeological materials dating to the early Neolithic to the Post-Medieval period. My current research includes human regional mobility and migration in Iron Age Italy and human-animal relationships along the Rhine during Roman times.
