An extensive comparative collection of modern seeds and fruits is available for the identification of plant finds. It covers a large part of the Central European flora and passes about 7500 course registrations. Smaller collections of buds and epiderms exist.

Archaeobotanical database for macro-residue records

ArboDat

All macroremains (mainly seeds, fruits and charcoal) from archaeological sites in Switzerland and neighboring fields are entered into the archaeobotanical database ArboDat. In addition to all projects researched at the IPNA, many other sites in Switzerland are also recorded.
